What would my final grade, worth 30%, have to be in order to get a final mark of 60%?

Multiply your mark times the worth in decimal form, then add them all together for your grade.

For example:
75 * 0.30 = 22.5
66 * 0.30 = 19.8
0 * 0.10 = 0
? * 0.30 = You will need to fill in the grade you want here. For example if you recieve a 100 on the last grade it would be 30.
Then you add it all together: 22.5 + 19.8 + 30 = 72.3 for the final grade.

A 70 would give you a final grade of 63.

If you want to finish with a 60 then the final needs to be the following: 22.5 + 19.8 + 0 + FG*0.3 = 60

Simplify: 42.3 + FG*0.3 = 60

Subtract 42.3 to each side: FG*0.3 = 17.7

Divide 0.3 to each side: FG = 59

So you need 59% (out of 100%) on the final grade to get 60% of the mark.

If you got a 60% on the final grade then your final mark is the following: 42.3 + (60 * 0.3) = FM

Simplify: 42.3 + 18 = FM

Simplify: 60.3 = FM

Since you have 70% of the weighted grades, your current grade is 42.3 / 0.7 = CG

Simplify: CG = 60.43%
