the total number of pennies in her jar is a function of the number of months Tara has been collecting them.(A) Let m= the number of months Tara has had her collection. If f(m) represents the total number of pennies, write a function showing the number of pennies Tara has in her jar after collecting for m months.(B) How many pennies will tara have at the end of the 1st year?(C)Taraestimates her jar will hold 5,......
WHo wants to take a challenge to this question? 10 points.
*Tara just began collecting pennies. She started with a jar of 650 that her father gave her. tara expects to add 30 pennies to her collection each month. Therefore, the total number of pennies in her jar is a function of the number of months Tara has been collecting them.
(A) Let "m"= the number of months Tara has had her collection. If "f(m)" represents the total number of pennies, write a function showing the number of pennies Tara has in her jar after collecting for m months.
(B) How many pennies will tara have at the end of the 1st year?
(C)Tara estimates her jar will hold 5,000 pennies. Exactly when will Tara's jar become completely filled? Answer in years and months
(D) Tara now wants to collect dimes. She starts with 40 dimes already in a new holds "d"dimes, write an equation that describes how to calculate the number of months, "m", it would take to fill her jar, solve the equation you wrote in terms of "m"

-
A) f(m) = 30m + 650

B) f(12) = 30*12 + 650
f(m)= 1010 pennies

C) Set f(m) = 5000
30m + 650 = 5000
30m = 4350
m = 145 months
Answer..........12 years, 1 month

D)f(m) = 30m + 40, set = to d 30m + 40 = d
30m = d - 40
m = (d - 40)/30
