How many times louder was the concert than the vacuum cleaner?Please show how you got to the answer, thanks!-129.5 = 10 log(ic/i0) => ic/i0 = 10^12.95 .......
A concert had a decibel rating of 129.5
A vacuum cleaner has a decibel rating of 80

The formula for decibels is as follows.

D = 10 log (i / i0)

i subscript 0 is the lowest sound a human can hear.

129.5 = 10 log(ic/i0) => ic/i0 = 10^12.95 ......(1)
80 = 10 log(iv/i0) => iv/i0 = 10^8 .....(2)
(1)/(2): ic/iv = 10^4.95 = 89,125 times
