Let f(c) = 0 then,Hope this helps!......
Find the roots of 10c2 -14c + 4
the 2 is 10c to the second power

Please show the steps! Thanks in advance!

-
10c^2 -14c +4

2( 5c^2 - 7c + 2)

2 ( 5c^2 -5c -2c +2)

2 ( 5c ( c -1) -2( c-1) )

2( 5c - 2) ( c-1)

ANSWER c = 2/5 OR 1

-
uhm..

10x² - 14x + 4 <--- i changed c to x

a = 10
b = -14
c = 4

Quadratic formula:
x = [-b ± √(b² - 4ac)]/2a

x = {-(-14) ± √[(-14)² - 4(10)(4)]}/2(10)

x = 1 ; x = 2/5

-
10c2 -14c + 4
--------------------

Let f(c) = 10c^2 -14c + 4
= (10c - 4).(c - 1)

Let f(c) = 0 then, (10c - 4) = 0 or (c - 1) = 0
c = 4/10 = 2/5 or c = 1

Hope this helps!
