One pipe can fill a tank in 20 min. while another pipe takes 30 minutes. How long will it take the two pipes together to fill the tank?

The answer key says it's 12 but I don't understand how they got that answer. I appreciate the help!

Rate of flow from the 2 pipes is 1/20 tanks/min and 1/30 tanks/min
Let t minutes be the time when working together
t/20+t/30 = 1 tank
3t+2t=60
5t = 60
t = 12 minutes
