3-(-5) would be 3+5=8.Then you put them back together: 3x2-9x+8!......
Simplify for me please? stumped. steps to do the problem will recieve points. :)
(2x2 - 5x + 3) - (-x2 + 4x - 5)
A) x2 - x - 2
B) 3x2 - 9x - 2
C) 3x2 - x + 15
D)3x2 - 9x + 8

The answer is letter D.
You can only simplify the terms with like bases. So the two with x2 can go together. 2x2-(-x2) would be 2x2+x2=3x2.
-5x-(4x)=-9x.
3-(-5) would be 3+5=8.
Then you put them back together: 3x2-9x+8!
Hope this helped[:
