that would be great.-prob of zero occurences of x is (1-.08)^8=.5132.So prob of at least one occurence is 1-.5132=.......
I want x to occur and the probability of it occurring is 8%. I perform 8 trials that are all independent. What is the probability of x occurring at least once? If you can show math, that would be great.

prob of zero occurences of x is (1-.08)^8=.5132.
So prob of at least one occurence is 1-.5132=.4868.

-
if P(x) = .08, then P(not x) is 1 - .08 = .92

the only way that x won't occur at least once is if it doesn't happen at all
the probability that x doesn't happen at all is (.92)^8

the probability of at least one x is 1 - P(no x) = 1 - (.92)^8
