math Im not showing...Ther are 78unique pairings of teams, and each pair plays four games.78 x 4 = 312 games.......
A baseball league consists of 13 teams. During the season, each team plays 2 home games and 2 away games with each of the other teams. How many total games are played during the season

I answered that question on here and said 13 times 2 and they said I was wrong. I know im right.

Each team plays four games with every other team. Two of those games are played at the team's home base, and two are played away.

A versus B is the same game no matter where it is, so the mathematic function to use is the CHOOSE function.

(13 Choose 2) = 13! / (2! * (13-2)! = 13! / (2! * (11)! = ...math I'm not showing... = 78

Ther are 78 unique pairings of teams, and each pair plays four games.

78 x 4 = 312 games.

it would be (13Choose2) times 4... aka 4(78)

the answer is 312...

Assign each team a number, 1-13. 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, etc... then you have to do 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 2-6, etc. You need to account for each time they play the other teams, and how many times they play eachother as well. All the games in the season means the ones they play against eachother too...

13 times 2 equal X, & X times 2 equal X. ( what is X)

-
Um 13 teams 4 games each 13*4?
