First of all, you never put a pro-numeral in a seperate bracket, it should automatically be the point of interest in your question.

Second of all to expand, with something such as your question (should be 8(3a+4)+7(2a-3) you have to multiply your numerals AND pronemerals within the brackets with the numeral infront of the brackets, like this 8(3a+4)+7(2a-3) = 24a+32+14a-21, you would then try to simplify this by adding to common factors together, like this 24a+32+14a-21= 38a+11, this would be the answer.
NOTE: if a question looks like this 4(6a+17)+(2a+13) to make it easier, always put the number 1 infront of the bracket if there is no number there, so it would loook more like this... 4(6a+17)+1(2a+13).

The syntax of the first expression is incorrect. 9t + 9 - 3t - 7 = 6t + 2.
