what are the reference angles for the following?

11/3*pi
-780
-11/4*pi

what do you subtract and minus?

-
11π /3 = 4π - (π/3) = π/3 (IV quadrant)

- 780 + 1080 = 300°

=> 360 - 300 = 60° (IV quadrant )

- 11π /4 = - 11π /4 + (4π) = 5π/4 = π/4 (III quadrant)

-
The reference angles for 11/3*pi would be pi/3

The reference angles for -780 would be 60

The reference angles for -11/4*pi would be pi/4

reference angle = 0 to 90 degrees or 0 to pi/2 radians

+/- pi , 2pi, ... depend on the size of the given angle
