To find the average percentage of green Ms, first find the percentage for each of the three bags individually; afterwards, add these three values together and divide by 3.-Lets say there are 30/106 green MMS in bag1.........
I tried this with skittles instead of M&M's (because I dont have any) and im having a hard time. Does anyone know how to do this???

What percentage of green M&M's are in a bag (any size) of M&M's? Please measure this for at least three different bags of M&M's and then find the average percentage for the three bags. To find the average percentage of green M&M's, first find the percentage for each of the three bags individually; afterwards, add these three values together and divide by 3.

Lets say there are 30/106 green MMS in bag1...
Get a calculator and do 106mms divided by 100%, times 30
100% divided by 106 gets the percentage each MM represent and times 30 for the whole bag since there are 30 green mms in a bag
You get 28.30%

Bag 2 there are 45/123 MMS
100 divide by 123, times 45 you get 36.59%

Bag 3 there are 149/349 MMS
100 divide by 349, times 149 you get 42.69%
...
Now you add them together
28.30%+36.59%+42.69%= 107.58% out of 300% since there are 3 bags of 100%
But you want it out of 100%
So you do 107.58 divide by 3 and 300% divide by 3
You get 35.86/100
Which is 35.86%

I hope that was what you asked for...
And I am only Yr 7 so might not be that accurate calculation
