Please help me with a geometry question

If the measure of angle A is represented by 3x-18, express each of the following in terms of x:
1) the measure of the supplement of angle A diminished by the measure of the complement of angle A.

The measure of the supplement of angle A diminished by the measure of the complement of angle A is basically [180 - (3x - 18)] - [90 - (3x - 18)], since supplements add up to 180 degrees and compliments add up to 90 degrees. Simplify the above expression:
[180 - (3x - 18)] - [90 - (3x - 18)]
[180 - 3x + 18] - [90 - 3x + 18]
[198 - 3x] - [108 - 3x]
198 - 108 - 3x + 3x
90 - 0x
90

A = 3x - 18
sup(A) = 180 - A
comp(A) = 90 - A

sup(A) - comp(A) = (180 - A) - (90 - A) = 90

The 3x-18 is of distraction value only.

Draw the diagram! You'll see exactly what the question is asking, and you can do it all by yourself.

(hint:: there is no x in the answer!)
