I'm taking augmentin for mono & I was wondering how long I should wait until I can start drinking?
I usually take it around 6:30 in the morning & then again at night. (time depends on my schedule)
Thanks!

Mononucleosis is a serious illness that attacks the immune system. I think you should stop drinking until you are completely cured. That takes awhile. Weeks sometimes and months for others. Drink fruit smoothies, just water, ice and a single fruit. You need to get that serious infection over and done with. get well soon.

Dont drink until you complete the series of medication. Alcohol will diminish the effects of antibiotics and it will take longer for you to get well. Drink 2 days after your final dose.

-
You shouldn't drink alcohol while taking Augmentin.

Augmentin is an antibiotic and it's common knowledge to avoid alcoholic beverages while on antibiotics.

If the bottle has a sticker on stating no drinking than no drinking period! Otherwise I would think you could drink. To be 100% safe consult with a pharmacist. You can just call.
