How many tums are too many

I have heart burn so often and tums are really the only thing I can take because I'm 15 weeks pregnant. I'm worried I may be eating too many. Is there such thing as taking too many tums in a day?

Shouldn't really be a problem to take as many as you need for symptomatic relief, their only active ingredient is Calcium carbonate, and it is only present to neutralise excess stomach acid.

An exception is if you are hypercalcaemic i.e. have a high blood calcium concentration that you are aware of, in which case consult a pharmacist who can give more comprehensive advice given your conditions.
