Only in the most superficial way as they work through completely different neurophysiological mechanisms; caffeine increases cellular activity through phosphodiesterase (working through a second messenger) whereas alprazolam works through the GABA system like most benzodiazepine derivatives. Using an anxiolytic to reduce the jitters from caffeine really is not recommended and balancing the effects of a mild stimulant with a tranquilizer doesn't really "balance out" at all. Reduce caffein and reduce Alprazolam. Alprazolam is primarily an anti-anxiety medication. Why shud it be used for counteracting the effect of Caffeine. Go for health drink.
