I have a Ceramic Disk capacitor can I shock myself without doing damage

Dont forget the Voltage needs to overcome the resistance of th body which is around 12,000 Ohms.......
I would like to shock myself without hurting or even killing myself. I will be charging the capacitor with a 9 volt batterie and a 6 volt. Remember they are ceramic disk can you tell me which capacitor will be safe to do this with or if it is safe at all. I am not trying to hurt myself I might just build like a shocking prank I just don't want to get hurt or killed or the person who I am going to prank it with.

Disc ceramic capacitors have very LOW capacity usually less than a few hundred picofarads, which means they can store very little energy, Also, even if you connected the batteries in series to get 15 volts, that isn't enough to be dangerous to you except in the most improbable circumstances. So go ahead and have fun - you are in no danger from the items you describe.

Now if you had a 500 Microfarad capacitor charged up to 200-300 volts, that is a whole different story!

I very much doubt if 9 Volts will be sufficient to shock anyone with, even with a very large capacitor. Dont forget the Voltage needs to overcome the resistance of th body which is around 12,000 Ohms.
