FIND THE EQUIVALENT RESISTANCE BETWEEN A AND B? (INSTANT 10 POINTS) (DIAGRAM SHOWN)

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-03-25] [Hit: ]
.. ( 2 )Solving ( 1 ) and ( 2 ), x = 3z and y = 2z.......
R12 = (R1*R2)/(R1+R2+R3) = 5/2, Similarly, R23 = 5/2 and R31 = 5/4
R31 and R4 in series is in parallel with R23 and R5 and whole is in series with R12, equivalent of which is 7 ohm.

Compensating errors; the results x=3z & y=2z are correct, and from those the right result follows.

I need to learn ∆-* conversion -- I've seen it done, but have never absorbed it. I'm guessing it is derivable from Kirchoff's Laws, yes?

Correcting for the error pointed out by the asker
=> x + z = 2y ... ( 1 ) and
5(z + y + z) = 10 (x - z)
=> 2x - 4z = y ... ( 2 )
Solving ( 1 ) and ( 2 ), x = 3z and y = 2z.
