Visible light is the ROYGBIV spectrum; red has a wavelength of 700nm and violet is 400nm. Then there is ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma radiation, all of which feature higher frequency and shorter wavelengths than visible light. These are all used as forms of ionizing radiation.......
physical science question

-
Gamma to cure cancer; but can cause it. Radio waves and microwaves for telecommunications. Microwaves can also be used to cook food( microwave oven) Can also lead to cancer as mobile phones use them which also heats up the side of the brain the phone is on. x-rays to find broken bones. All parts of the electro- magnetic spectrum can be used in astronomy to observe the universe. Infra red can be used to locate heat sources like that of a human. Ultraviolet is used to find bacteria but can damage the cells in your skin leading to skin cancer
