Positive acceleration means that the object is moving faster and faster. In the case of negatice acceleration, the opposite happens, that is the object moves more and more slowly. Is your friend right? If she made any mistakes in her explanation identify and correct them-The statement is incorrect.......
Please help

You and you friend are studying for a physics exam. Your friend is trying to explain acceleration. She says "acceleration tell you whether an object is traveling fast or slow. It is a vextor that points in the direction in which the object is advancing. In one dimension, acceleration can be either positive or negative. Positive acceleration means that the object is moving faster and faster. In the case of negatice acceleration, the opposite happens, that is the object moves more and more slowly." Is your friend right? If she made any mistakes in her explanation identify and correct them

The statement is incorrect.
The first sentence is wrong. The acceleration tells you how fast the velocity is changing (acceleration is the rate of change of the velocity.
The second sentence is wrong. The acceleration points in the direction of the change of velocity.
The third sentence is right.
The fourth sentence is wrong.
The fifth sentence is wrong.
The last two sentences can be combine this way. If the acceleration and the velocity both have the same direction (both are positive or both are negative), the object is moving faster and faster. If the acceleration and the velocity have opposite signs (directions), the object is slowing down.
