Could A hurricane hit Socal

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-08-25] [Hit: ]
Typhoons are only in the West Pacific near Asia not the East Pacific.-In theory, except the ocean currents and winds dont go in the right direction.Besides, in the Pacific Ocean, theyre called typhoons.......
Could a hurricane ever hit Souther California? like hit Los Angeles? And The Inland Empire?

-
It could but very unlikely. There has only been one hurricane to hit Southern California which was in 1850s San Diego. The water is too cold in the area for hurricanes to maintain their strength and most hurricanes move west away from the coast in the East Pacific. Typhoons are only in the West Pacific near Asia not the East Pacific.
