What happens when a ship is hit by lightning

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-25] [Hit: ]
it is more likely that some of the charge will try to go through the anchor, but is more likely to be spread out on the surface of the water.......
I was thinking that ships must get hit by lightning sometimes what happens and if their Angkor is down does that change anything ?

Usually, if a ship gets hit, the charge travels down the body of the ship to the surface of the water and is spread out about the surface. If the anchor is down, it is more likely that some of the charge will try to go through the anchor, but is more likely to be spread out on the surface of the water.
