How do scientists know that black holes exist

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-06-14] [Hit: ]
a particle collider in Geneva, Switzerland has actually created microscopic black holes in order to study the effects of them. So beyond what everyone else has correctly stated, the fact that we have madeblack holes ourself is pretty good proof-When A scientist sees the absence of light, it indicates a black hole is there, as there is no light.......

To date scientists still don't know what black holes are, it's all theoretical physics. Many more black holes were discovered since that time though.

The matter falling into the black hole becomes x-rays as they fall in, The x-ray jets coming out of the black holes have been observed, along with effect a black hole has on any matter outside of the event horizon. The matter gets Doppler shifted as it swirls around the black hole. The EM radiation and Doppler-shifting is the proof that black-holes exist.
