Is it true that there is radiation emanating from the center of our galaxy

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-08-23] [Hit: ]
YES,a solar satellite on THIS side of the Sun would also seesome of the radiationcoming from center of the galaxy, but a solar satellites sensorsare optimized for the EM radiation THE SUN is emitting, not the radio, microwave, and IR radiation coming from around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy,......
If so, would the stereo satellites on the far side of the sun be capable of observing it's affects on the back side?

The satellites observing the far side of the Sun are focused on the Sun. When the center of the Galaxy and the Sun are in the same field of view from earth like they are in December, YES, a solar satellite on THIS side of the Sun would also see some of the radiation coming from center of the galaxy, but a solar satellites' sensors are optimized for the EM radiation THE SUN is emitting, not the radio, microwave, and IR radiation coming from around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, like the radio waves coming from SagA*, which is CLOSE to the center of the Galaxy, but not AT the center of the Galaxy. Remember almost three years ago, when I had to get people to understand that their claims that Sag A* was AT the center of the Milky Way Galaxy didn't make any sense, because anything AT the center of the Galaxy goes down the black hole, or was that before you joined YA?

Forgive me. Other people don't remember anything that happened older than three months . I have to remember that. Average people have severely limited long term memory re-call - repeat five times when posting any answer to YA,.....Ooops!!

In normal galaxies that do not have material for the supermassive black hole to "feed" on, there are three sources of emission outside the optical band:

Synchrotron Radiation
Thermal Emission
Bremsstrahlung

Thermal emission are the most dominant, and comes from the billions of stars that reside in a galaxy. Synchrotron emission comes from the supernova remnants, in which electrons are accelerated along magnetic fields producing radio waves. Bremsstrahlung (braking radiation) is emission from HII regions (ionized hydrogen gas), also producing some radio waves.

There's a super-massive black hole--billions of times more massive than our own sun--at the center of our galaxy. As it drags material into it, immense quantities of radiation are generated.

Not at all sure what the second part of your question is asking.

-
If the black hole theory is correct we should be able to detect gamma radiation jetting from it. I do not believe STEREO would find it. They are for solar observation. A satellite specifically built to find the galactic center radiation would be best.

-
Yes radiation is, in the form of XRays that are released as a star is being ripped apart in the presence of a black hole.

Don't know about the STEREO part of the question.

Radiation emanates from all objects that have a temperature above absolute zero.

Radiation emanates from the center of the galaxy as well.
