How did they evolve Uranium then?Anyway we know that plants do in fact give off Oxygen and take in C02 or what you breathe out.Now I will give you the best answer to your original question that I can.Mars has 0.13% Oxygen left in its atmosphere. It is believed that at one time there was a ocean in the Northern Hemisphere as well as more oxygen.......
Good question! Let me first state that the Astronomy professor needs to go back to school because he was off on a couple of things. I will clear them up and then try my best to explain why Mars has oxygen in it to the best of my knowledge.

First off the Earth has 21-22% Oxygen and 78% Nitrogen. The Earth probably did have 30% Oxygen in the past but not currently. Also its important to note that the Earth is constantly loosing Oxygen.

Now about the Stellar evolution, Stars cannot fuse past Iron very well and even so it is impossible to be able to evolve all of the elements from Hydrogen. There is no Scientific way that you can get all 118 known elements to evolve from Hydrogen and Helium. How did they evolve Uranium then?

Anyway we know that plants do in fact give off Oxygen and take in C02 or what you breathe out.

Now I will give you the best answer to your original question that I can.

Mars has 0.13% Oxygen left in its atmosphere. It is believed that at one time there was a ocean in the Northern Hemisphere as well as more oxygen.

Now how that originated is subject to debate, but this is my view. When God created everything such as explained in Genesis chapter 1, it seems that He made many things alike such as water all throughout the Universe and it is known that every planet in space actually does have a small atmosphere, even our moon.

So my best explanation is during God's creation, he made Mars with water and an Atmosphere and over time the atmosphere started to leave the planet due to the lack of a strong gravitational pull and because of a lack of an atmosphere, dried up the waters and now all that is left is 0.13% Oxygen, and polar ice caps with some canals that water probably flowed through less than 6,000 years ago.

First, VERY poorly written question. BUT oxygen doesn't come from planets... It is created in Stars during Nuclear Fusion. When stars end their life (through Supernova or other process) Oxygen (along with every other element) is spilled back into the Universe to form the next generation of stars and planets. Mars' atmosphere has only ~0.1% oxygen... Compared to Earth's ~30.0%.

But agree with the answer above... Read more into it yourself before asking a question on here.

easy on the new kid

tom tommy may have
english as a second language or be very young

actually a good question based on a slight misunderstanding

I thing plants not generate the Oxygen its recycling

yaaaaaaa, I wouldn't ask this until you've read into it enough. lol
