How fast can one go in outer space

it would keep accelerating, but not at a constant speed. Even though there is no air resistance, as you approach the speed of light, your mass increases. So,......

Earth think is too small. We have been on a planet for too long. traveling at the speed of light is possible and even 10 times faster when you are going trans galactic. Your ship would have all kind of sparking from hitting particles but once you enter a galaxy, you would need to slow down as other wise the density of particles would pulverize your ship!

You could go up to the speed of light, but not at the speed of light.yes, it would keep accelerating, but not at a constant speed. Even though there is no air resistance, as you approach the speed of light, your mass increases. So, to actually reach the speed of light, you would need infinite energy. You could go 99.99999% the speed of light, but it would take a lot of energy.

Up to but not including the speed of light. The closer you got to the speed of light, the less your speed would increase and the more your mass would instead. Your total momentum, therefore, would still increase as you accelerated.

Acceleration is not exponential, by the way.

Are you using exponential to sound smart? Because you used it wrong. Exponential means 2 times 2 equals 4 then 4 times 2 equals 8 then 16 then 32 then 64 then 128. It would increase, but once you neared the speed of light your mass would begin to increase.

-
You'd accelerate, but not exponentially.
