Why does the nighttime section of the artifact show other stars in the sky, but not the sun?

-------------------------------------------------------

answers:
Ronald 7 say: Probably because it represents nightime and the Sun is shining on the other side of the Earth
-
aladdinwa say: Which artifact are you talking about?
-
tham153 say: perhaps because nighttime means the Sun is not visible
-
Joseph say: Do you have a particular artifact in mind or is this a telepathy exercise?
-
PhotonX say: If you're talking about the Ultima Thule flyby, all we've seen are approach images, which by definition would have the Sun behind the camera since the probe is heading outward. Why would you expect it to be otherwise?

-
Bill-M say: NIGHTTIME maybe.
-
poldi2 say: "the artifact" - which one would that be.
The sun is not in the sky at night, so why would it be on the artifact (whichever artifact you mean).
-
quantumclaustrophobe say: By definition, "night time" refers to the time when the light of the sun is blocked by an object's own mass.
-
Roger the Mole say: Could it be because the sun does not appear at night?
