i know its the process by which cells obtain energy from glucose. So I'm doing a cellular respiration work sheet and I'm not sure which one to pick. The options are breathing, the production of ATP from energy-rich compounds, the diffusion of oxygen into the cells or the transfer of O2 and CO2 across a cell membrane. I'm pretty sure it's the production of ATP from energy-rich compounds.

YES!! You are exactly right. Cellular respiration is the process by which cells release energy from glucose and other food molecules in the presence of oxygen. so, yes, it's the production of ATP (36 ATP molecules from ONE molecule of glucose) from energy - rich compounds (ex: food molecules).
