Each codon (3 bases on individual nucleotides) codes for a nucleic acid.In transcription the DNA is copied and mRNA(messenger RNA)is formed. In translation with the help of tRNA (transfer RNA) each anticodon on the tRNA molecule helps to bring an amino acid to to the ribosome molecule. These nucleic acids form peptide bonds forming a polypeptide.-so the structure of DNA is a double helix, with weak hydrogen bonds as the rungs.......
Explain how the structure of DNA is related to its function.

Give quite a bit of detail because there are multiple ways that it relates

-
First of all we need to look at what DNA does.
DNA contains gentic code.
It contains the code that tells the body what to do.
DNA is a double helix and made of the monomer nucleotides.
each nucleotide contains a nitrogenous base (A,T,G,C)
DNA is made of 2 polynucleotide chains linked by hydrogen bonds between complementary base pairs.
A-T, C-G this is the base pair rule
Each codon (3 base's on individual nucleotides) codes for a nucleic acid.

In transcription the DNA is copied and mRNA(messenger RNA) is formed.
In translation with the help of tRNA (transfer RNA) each anticodon on the tRNA molecule helps to bring an amino acid to to the ribosome molecule. These nucleic acids form peptide bonds forming a polypeptide.

so the structure of DNA is a double helix, with weak hydrogen bonds as the "rungs". DNA is made of four acids, comprising of Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thymine ( replaced with Uracil in RNA).
These acids pair up with each other, forming a helix-- A pairs with T and G pairs with C
DNA is the abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid, which is the genetic material present in the cells of all living organisms. Different sequences of DNA code for a particular protein, and they are in sequences of codons, which are basically 3 pairs of codes for eg ATC, CCC or TAC......

It is found in all eukaryotic cells and is inherited or formed by mutations
