-The capillaries are not arteries.Most of the decrease in blood pressure occurs in the arterioles.The loss of pressure between the aortic root and arterioles is trivial.-It is the mean based on the location you are measuring, so if you measure on the arm (brachial artery) then you will get a mean arterial pressure (2/3 diastolic plus 1/3 systolic) at that location. The mean at the femoral artery will be different.......

How is mean arterial pressure considered the same everywhere in the body if pressure is higher in the aorta compared to the capillaries? Thank you!
