Look at this word equation:
magnesium + hydrocloric acid = magnesium chloride + hydrogen
How would the mass of the chemicals seem to change in this reaction?

It's hard to say from the words alone,
but since there is magnesium, hydro, and chlor on both sides, one might hypothesize that it is possible that mass does not change.
