How do you find the length of each side of a cube by just knowing it's area

-the area of a cube is the total surface area of the six sides of the cube.each side of the cube is a square of sayof side length a.the area of the cube is 6*(a^2).where a^2 is the area of a square.if we know the area as say A,side can be found.......
Just in case, the area is 36 square centimetres

A cube has six square faces, so if the total area is 36 cm^2, then each side is 6 cm^2.

Now the area of a square is s^2, where s is the length of a side, so if s^2 = 6 cm^2, then s sqrt(6) cm = about 2.45 cm.
