Give your answer in KilometresCan u show me step by step how you solved this problem.-You know that :speed = 6 m/sTime = 25 minutes = 25*60 = 1500 secondsYou also know that :Distance = Speed*TimmeThen :Distance = 1500 * 6Distance = 9000You also know that 1000 meters is 1 km, so 9000 meters is 9 km :)-Okay so, If she does 6 metres per second find out how far she goes in 25 minutes. In 25 minutes there are 1500 seconds (25 x 60=1500). So you multiply 1500 seconds by 6 metres.......
Ann cycles to her friends house
she cycles at a steady speed of 6 metres per second for 25 minutes
work out the distance she travels?
Give your answer in Kilometres

Can u show me step by step how you solved this problem.

-
You know that :

speed = 6 m/s
Time = 25 minutes = 25*60 = 1500 seconds

You also know that :

Distance = Speed*Timme

Then :

Distance = 1500 * 6
Distance = 9000

You also know that 1000 meters is 1 km, so 9000 meters is 9 km :)

-
Okay so,
If she does 6 metres per second find out how far she goes in 25 minutes. In 25 minutes there are 1500 seconds (25 x 60=1500). So you multiply 1500 seconds by 6 metres. In 1500 seconds (or 25 minutes) Ann will go 9000 metres. 1 kilometre is equal to 100 metres. So divide 9000 metres by 100 metres. In conclusion Ann will travel 90kilometres in 25 minutes.

Hope this helps!

you are solving for how many kilometers all the info you have is
6 meters per second
25 minutes
first you need to find out how many meters Ann went in a minute. so
6x60= 360 meters per minute
multiply the 360 meters per minute by 25 for the 25 minutes
360x25= 9000 meters in 25 minutes
the conversion is 1000 meters per every 1 kilometer
so 9000 divided by 1000 = 9 kilometers in 25 minutes

-
1.) 1 kilometer = 1000 meters
2.) 6 meters/sec multiply it to 60 to get the meters/minute
3.) multiply the answer in no.2 to 25 to get the meters/25minutes
4.) convert the meters into kilometers.

computation:

6 meters x 60sec = 360
360meters x 25 minutes = 9,000meters
convert 9,000 meters to kilometers

9,000 meters / 1,000(meters per kilometer) = 9kilometers

next time, do your assignment.. you might also get wrong answers from here.. :D

Ann cycles to her friends house at a steady speed of
6 metres per second for 25 minutes
Work out the distance she travels?
1 km = 1000 meters
1 minute = 60 seconds
Travel time = 25 minutes
Travel speed = 6 metres per second
or 360 meters per minute
Travel distance = 360 x 25 metres
or 9 kilometers.
My answer in kilometres

-
Speed = 6 m/s

Time = 25 minutes

Distance = 6*25*60 = 9000 meters

Distance = 9 km >====================< ANSWER

-
You multiply six by sixty to get one minute. That gives you 360. Multiply that by 25 (for the 25 minutes) and you get 9000. For meters to kilometers, you divide by 1000.

Your answer is 9 km

-
25 minutes * 60 seconds in each minute * 6 meters per second =9000 meters = 9Km

-
6 m/s X 60 sec X 25 min = 9000 meters / 1000 = 9 km
