1) 3^2 + 4^2 = c^2
9 + 16 = c^2
25 = c^2
5 = c
2) 2x + 4 is half of the whole side so you have to multiply it by two and equal it to 46 so...
4x + 8 = 46
4x = 38
x = 9.5
3) Again with halves so you multiply EB by two and equal it to 22
2x + 8 = 22
2x = 14
x = 7
4) They equal each other so...
x + 2 = 52
x = 50
5) And finally they equal each other again
2x + 10 = 3x - 6
16 = x
