67y = -8
y = -8/67

75y + 3 = 8y - 5 first subtract 8y from both sides to get y's on one side of the equal sign
67y + 3 = -5 Now subtract 3 from both sides to get y's by themselves
67y = -8 finally, divide both sides by 67 to solve for y
y = -8/67

y=-8/67
