Dividing Polynomials

(〖24x〗^5-〖40x〗^4+〖16x〗^3)÷(〖4x〗^3)

(x^2+4x-14)÷(x+6)

There is dividing polynomial by long division and by synthetic division, both of which are very difficult to show on Y!A since it rearranges the columns.

But your first problem doesn't require either of these techniques. Just divide each coefficient by 4^3 and each x term by x^3:
(24^5 / 4^3) x^2 - (40^4 / 4^3) x + (16^3 / 4^3)
Simplify the stuff inside parentheses:
124416 x^2 - 40000 x + 64
(Although I suspect you didn't really mean for the exponents to apply to the coefficients, but that's what you wrote.)

The answer to the second one is:
x - 2 with remainder -2
