if you rent e canoes and one tube, you would have $15 left for refreshments.......
Me and nine friends have decided to go on a camping trip for a few days. There is a $50 budget per day for activities. One of the days we will rent tubes and canoes to explore a river. Tube rental is $4.95 and the cost to rent a canoe is $9.95. each person would need a tube but canoes can hold three people. In order to budget for the day consider the following.

Write an equation that shows how many tubes T and canoes C you would need to accommodate the group.

Round the cost of tubes and canoes to the nearest dollar then write an equation that expresses how much the tubes and canoes will cost and remain in the confines of your recreational budget.

according to the equations how many tubes and canoes can i rent?

-
3C + T = 10

10C + 5T = 50

If this is your ONLY activity that day, you could rent tubes for everyone and still stay within budget (10 * $5 = $50).

However, if you rent e canoes and one tube, you would have $15 left for refreshments.
