10 points: Can someone explain to me how to add or subtract polynomials?\

no one would give me an answer in the Physics section. sooo....

for ex 5w + 7y = ___

or (4x + 6) - (2x + 8y) =____

and tell me by word how would I solve these kind of problems because its getting on my nerves right now.

Since there is two variables in the first example but only one equation you can't solve for any variable or you can't simplify the equation at all because it is in it's simplest form being 5w+7y same thing goes for the second one but here is sites for that explains adding and subtracting polynomials in words with an example to follow along
