Consider the circuit shown in the figure below, in which RA = 35 and RB = 7 . Tabulate the current through, and the potential difference across, each resistor.

I'll get you started. First get total resistance.

7 and 24 in parallel are 7•24/31 = 5.42
that in series with 6 is 11.42
that is in parallel with 35 for 35•11.42/46.42 = 8.61
that is in series with 4 for total 12.61

total I = 24/12.61 = 1.903 amps (which gives you values for the 4 resistor)
that produces a voltage across the right combo of 8.61 x 1.903 = 16.39 volts
that gives you values for Ra
that produces a current in the middle set of 16.39/11.42 = 1.43 amps
which gives you values for the 6
voltage across the bottom middle pair is
E = 1.43 x 5.42
and from that you can get the values for those last two.
