Capacitor charging...

-The capacitors _rating_ is 10 V.The capacitor has been fully charged from a 5 V (Im assuming DC) supply. The supply can only charge the capacitor to the supplys output voltage, so the fully charged voltage is 5 V.[You could used a 10 V supply to charge the capacitor up to 10 V (but you didnt). without exceeding the rating of the capacitor and possibly destroying the capacitor.......
I have a 10v 100uF Electrolytic capacitor.
If I charge it fully using a 5V supply. How much Output voltage to expect? 5V or 10V?
What about the Capacitance? 100uF or 50uF?

Thank you

it's not magic - if you charge it up to 5 volts it will only give 5 volts back out. It will still be a 100uF capacitor, just like a 100 ohm resistor will always be 100 ohms.

The capacitor's _rating_ is 10 V.

The capacitor has been fully charged from a 5 V (I'm assuming DC) supply. The supply can only charge the capacitor to the supply's output voltage, so the fully charged voltage is 5 V.

[You could used a 10 V supply to charge the capacitor up to 10 V (but you didn't). without exceeding the rating of the capacitor and possibly destroying the capacitor.]
