Expanding the polynomial gives me:

2(x-3)² = 2(x² - 6x +9)
= 2x² - 12x + 18

2x-6)^2= (2x-6)(2x-6) =4x^2-12x-12x+36= 4x^2-24x+36
= 4(x^2-6x+9 then factor x-3 x-3 x=3
plug x in 3-3 =0 2(0)^2 = 0
