I have a question about sleeping pills

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-02-18] [Hit: ]
the reason why we have different medications for almost any condition is simply because peoples bodies are different and one medication might be extremely effective and harmless in one patient but very ineffective in another. It is also suggested to try to refrain from taking ANY sleeping pills if youre studying for an important exam or any other task that requires 100% of your memory in order to perform.Sometimes a glass of red wine can replace the sleeping pills. Try it! But DO NOT, EVER EVER drink wine or any sort of alcohol unless AT LEAST 24 hours or more have passed since you last took a sleeping pill.......
Could it cause memory loss? If so for how long?

-
Laura, yes the majority of sleeping pills are expected to cause SOME level of memory loss but we usually don't expect it to permanent. In other words, short-term memory loss is a common expected side effect of sleeping pills because their main purpose is to sort of "shut off some parts of your brain" that would NORMALLY "turn off" when you sleep anyway. Yes sometimes, even in the morning when you wake up you still might notice the loss of memory but if you notice that happening more than once or twice per week, you should certainly stop taking that particular pill and ask your physician for a different medication. After all, the reason why we have different medications for almost any condition is simply because people's bodies are different and one medication might be extremely effective and harmless in one patient but very ineffective in another. "Could it"??
Sleeping pills is an "it"?
Brilliant.
Yes. Especially high doses of certain sleeping pills. Do seem not to know that there are many types.
Do you mean to ask if the lost memory returns?
No, dear, it is lost for good.
Some mental confusion may also occur. So once you get clean, it is possible you will remember some things you didn't at first.

I know Ambian can cause you to go out driving or cooking or talking on the phone and you will not remember that you had done any of these things. So if you mean will you remember that the answer is no. If it is a longer term of memory loss I do not know.

It depends on what kind they are. I know the sleeping medicine that goes by the name of Halcion can cause sleep walking and often times the patient doesn't remember doing it. It isn't suggested for use in older people.
