What is electricity if everything is either a gas, a solid or a liquid

so really is electricity a gas, a solid or a liquid. if it is one of them then can i just have a quick answer saying what it is. if it isn't any of them or more than one of them can you explain

The electricity that you see in sparks or in lightning is called plasma, which is a fourth state of matter that grade school textbooks don't get into.

Non-visible elctricity though is the result of the difference in electronic potential between two points. To sum it up quickly, it comes from an inbalance in electrons, since electrons want to repel each other, the energy from them trying to balance themselves out results in what we call electricity.

Saying everything is a gas, solid or liquid is somewhat of a simplification. You can always come up with things that don't fit neatly into those categories.

As for electricity, it is really a form of energy that is produced by net imbalance in the flow of charged particles (ie: more are flowing in one direction than in another).

Electricity is not actually a thing. It is the word used to describe the movement or flow of electrons therefore not making it a gas, solid or liquid. It's confusing... i know. >_<

All MATTER, is either a Solid, Liquid or Gas. Electricity is not matter, and therefore is not any of the 3. It is a form of force and energy, seeing as it is not matter, but phenomena.

electricity, light, heat, energy, sound, and many many more.

It is an invisible magnetic field of flowing electrons.

Neither it is just plain energy.
