this includes the portal between our world and theirs. Can someone explain this to me? Feel free to tell your experiences with Ouija Boards if you have any, too :)xoxoGianna(Yes, Im going to get a Ouija Board) :D-I think there have been some fictional movies where ouija boards have been depicted as a tool to open portals to hell, summon demons and other claptrap.......
I don't get it. Ouija Boards are not at all evil. The board and planchette itself don't do anything, evil or good, it's the people playing that make it all happen. So, why do people assume Ouija Boards are so demonic? They can have a good outcome if the people play correctly and know what they're doing, this includes the portal between our world and theirs'. Can someone explain this to me?

I think there have been some fictional movies where ouija boards have been depicted as a tool to open portals to hell, summon demons and other claptrap.
A lot of people don't seem to understand that a movie like The Exorcist or Paranormal Activity are about as much based on reality as The Little Mermaid so they go around quoting it as evidence.

By all means get a ouija board and give it a try, I used a home made one with some friends once and it does really seem that the thing is moving by itself, but as others have said this movement is solely caused by the living human participants and has nothing at all to do with any paranormal beings whatsoever.

It is a toy, have fun playing with it.

Here's the logic behind what those people think

1) They are gullible, so they think that these boards really conjure up some spirits
2) Christianity forbids contacting spirits
3) Therefore, these boards are evil.

You should research the "ideomotor effect". There is a reason why you need a group of people to use a Ouija Board: In a group of people, each member will contribute a tiny bit of movement. So tiny that each person does not notice that he/she is doing the moving. So... you do one tiny bit of moving, and everyone else also does a tiny bit of moving, and nobody notices that he/she does some moving, but all the tiny moving adds up to a big movement.
