compare to the final speed of ball 2, v2f, when they reach the ground?ball 1 falls to its release height where it is moving downward with same speed = vi,that ball 2 had when it was thrown downward,if your having trouble,......
A student at the top of a building of height h throws ball 1 upward with a speed of vi and then throws ball 2 downward with the same initial speed, vi. How does the final speed of ball 1, v1f, compare to the final speed of ball 2, v2f, when they reach the ground?

-
v1f = v2f
ball 1 falls to its release height where it is moving downward with same speed = vi,
that ball 2 had when it was thrown downward,
both balls end up with same speed

-
dont forget to add the particle beam accelerator
if your having trouble, watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nda_OSWey…

-
The speeds are the same when they reach the ground.
