Does each stage in a voltage multiplier double the voltage

hi,

does each stage (capacitor and diode) in a voltage multiplier double the voltage?
if the supply voltage is 25kv, i think each stage adds another 25kv, so after 4 stages, its 100kv, but im just making sure :)
and also, if i want to boost 25kv to 250kv, can all the capacitors, and diodes be rated at 25kv?

this is not doubling, this is addition, the doubling is only in the 1st stage
