Examples of Physics in everyday life

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-08] [Hit: ]
...)AP is a waste of teacher time and classroom space on someone that is in over their head. You cannot learn it, if you dont understand it.......
I need to come up with pictures of physics in everyday life in my AP physics class :)
Any ides/ help?
For example: circuits, Newton's Laws, uniform circular motion, energy, force, waves, etc.
I also need to be able to explain the pictures and how they relate to physics. (Im not exactly a genious in physics so please make it as simple as possible)
THANKS SO MUCH =D

I hate to ask, but this is a raging debate in my state, so please show my response and your question to your teacher and the Principal of your school. (My general opinion of Education Majors is that they lack the common sense God gave a goose.)

Advanced Placement is NOT for students that are " .... not exactly genious (sic) in physics.....") AP is a waste of teacher time and classroom space on someone that is in over their head. You cannot learn it, if you don't understand it. What on earth possessed your a school to put you in a class that was over your head?

Physics applies to everything. So, take a picture of anything and everything. Then apply physics to the picture.

A rock sitting on the ground - Newton's 3rd Law
2 people playing catch - Projectile motion, Newton's 3 Laws, Newton's Equations of Motion
Pot of boiling water - Heat of vaporisation, Thermodynamics, heat of convection, heat of conduction
Sunny yard - Nuclear fusion
etc.

I am sorry. I am sure I hurt your feelings though that was not my intent. The problem here the school systems are using AP as a normal high school physics class. That is not what AP is supposed to be. AP is supposed to be college level work.

It is a dis-service and unfair to you and the rest of the students to expect you to do college level work when you have not been prepared for it. It is also a dis-service to make parents think their children are getting advanced classes when they are not. Your teacher and Principal should

be ashamed of themselves. It is not your fault, it is theirs. They lied to you and to the citizens that support your school system. What they are teaching you is not AP, you have been cheated

Hi, I want to introduce a good blog on physics for conceptual questions.

The answers are straight and clear.
