Part 1:In a circuit of two lamps in series, if the
current through one lamp is 5 A, what is the
current through the other lamp?
Answer in units of A.

Part 2: If 8 V is applied to the above circuit and the
voltage across the first lamp is 1 V, what is
the voltage across the second lamp?
Answer in units of V.

1. 5A. It's the same as the other lamp, as they're in series.

2. 7V. The voltage drop has to add up to 8V, and the first lamp took 1V.
