I kinda like astronomy, and i have thought about the gravitational pull of the moon effecting earth...

but if this happened, i would also imagine that it would make the surface expand since the pressure was always so severe. this would most likely cause earth quakes across the planet until the new form could sustain the new gravitational pull.but if you added more moons to jupiter then the force on the surface would increase, and would virtually cause minor changes, but may make a few earth quakes to make up for the extra pressure and would probably make the storms a bit worse.......
if the moon gets closer then the tides change. but could this just simply mean that the moons location determines the earths strength of gravity. so if the moon just drifted off, wouldnt that make the gravity make us near weightless, where as it getting closer make us heavier... or vise versa.

jupiter has several moons making the gravitational pull on the surface unbareable for us, but if there was only one or two moons there then i would imagine the pull would loosen, but if this happened, i would also imagine that it would make the surface expand since the pressure was always so severe. this would most likely cause earth quakes across the planet until the new form could sustain the new gravitational pull.

but if you added more moons to jupiter then the force on the surface would increase, and would virtually cause minor changes, but may make a few earth quakes to make up for the extra pressure and would probably make the storms a bit worse.

now if you too this into account then wouldnt the excess debree that is left behind from broken satellites increase the pressure on earth a minor amount, but i imagine if too much is left to build then this could create more earth quakes. people cant predict earthquakes from the ground but what if it is due to the location the moon is from earth and how the earth is reacting to the constant change in pressure on the surface. but the extra trash in space would also increase the chance of these changes to take place.

these are just my thoughts on the matter and completely random and not looked into much, but it does seem like a logical probability.

Gravity can be thought of as an attractive force between any two masses that gets way stronger the closer the masses are together ( inversely proportional to the square of the distance)

Since we are so close to the earth, and it's so massive, most of the force of gravity we feel is from the earth, not the moon. The force of the moon on compared with the earth on you is over several million times less than the force of the earth on you, because the distance between you and the moon is so great. The force of the moon on the the earth is uneven though - since the force isn't stopped by anything, the force of the moon on the material facing the moon is greater than the force of the moon on the material on the other side of the earth, because the distance of that material to the moon is slightly greater ( about 7926 miles further) than the distance of the material on the other side of the earth..
