Whats ''light'' in space

happens really really close to the center - within about 15 miles of the center. The Moon is a bit over 1000 miles in radius so the strange effects like the even horizon are much much smaller than what we see now.Do you think you could see a 15 mile diameter black ball that far away?To clarify: Heat comes in two forms pure EMR and as rapid vibrations of matter.THe heat that is EMR is also called infrared radiation and is what we feel under the Sun or near a hot fire.(Above a hot fire is SO HOT because the gasses are vibrating - this is a better way to cook things than putting food beside a fire.......
So black holes are named that because a bare black hole would look exactly like a big black nothing in space. Black holes are rarely (if ever) bare, they are always surrounded by junk and stuff that is attracted to them and is orbiting them (just like Suns, planets and moons attract junk into orbit).
There is a lot of ignorance and myth about them. They are NOT vacuum cleaners. They do not "suck". The example I usually give here (and if you had a bit more initiative, you could have looked up) is that if the Moon magically transformed into a black hole of the same mass, it would produce tides on Earth just like the Moon does now. There would be no increase in its gravity. In fact unless someone was looking at it when it happened, it would take a while to notice. All the crazy stuff (the actual weird science, not the myths) that happens, happens really really close to the center - within about 15 miles of the center. The Moon is a bit over 1000 miles in radius so the strange effects like the even horizon are much much smaller than what we see now. Do you think you could see a 15 mile diameter black ball that far away?

You should be old enough to understand that you lack the knowledge to understand. It like YOU saying to a 70 year old who has been married for 53 years that YOU know how they feel losing their husband. You should be old enough to know that you don't have a clue about how they feel. Similarly, you lack the knowledge to be able to understand this topic. You want to understand it? Fine. Get a textbook and work through it. In 6 months to 2 years you will be ready to begin to understand. There are some popular books on the subject of Relativity that a very bright 14 year old might be able to digest. Go to Amazon (or your library) and browse. Be prepared to read several and maybe re-read them.
