'Light" in space is electromagnetic radiation. An electric field and a magnetic field at right angles propagating at a right angle to the electric and magnetic fields.

Sorry, honey, but black holes DO NOT SUCK. THAT is a delusion of ignorance.

LIGHT is just a singular form, a particular kind of radiation. Light is radiated, heat is radiated, in the form of a photon. In the sun, in a light bulb, in a fire. A photon exhibits the properties of both a ray and a particle depending on circumstances. A photon is generated in an energy field and leaves that point, millions and millions flying out in all directions. Gravity can "bend" the path of light from a straight line into a curve. The stronger the gravity, the more the curve of the path. In the case of a black hole, the gravity is SO strong the photon, acting like a particle in a gravity field, literally is pulled into a U turn and falls back into the black hole.

1. Light from stars (or anything else that emits light).
2 Yes light moves as photons (particles of light) which travel very fast.
3. Because there is no black hole between us and the sun.
4. No the sun emits light in ALL directions, the light that is passing near a black hole gets bent and if its too close it gets bent into the black hole.
6 Blackhole 'do'? They are just very heavy and very dense objects that have a lot of gravity. Their gravity is so much that even passing light gets pulled in.

sun and all other stars emits heat and light.
Light travels all the way from the sun to the earth through space
and people mean to say that even 'light' (which can travel anywhere) can't go through blackholes
